Why Women Needs Empowerment

Women empowerment is crucial for several reasons. Here are some key points:

Julie Helping Hands Foundation helps to bring Assistance and dvelopment to Rural Community based women especially and this has being ongoing for more than few years now.

The founder @julietchuka has being doing her best in so many ways to reach out to a lot of communities in the north central, and eastern part of Nigeria and has great passion to stop at nothing than to see the smiles on such women and communities.

Julie Helping Hands Foundation annually visits maternity homes and hospitals to provide support either in kind or financially because she believes in Gender equality and she helps in the little way she can.

JHF, believes that the stone age where women were treated as second class citizens or no class at all has to stop, that’s why she supports no matter how difficult it has been.

Every woman deserves Empowerment and even in the Rural communities, The reason is because of these :

Gender Equality: Empowering women is essential for achieving gender equality in society. Women have historically faced discrimination and unequal treatment in various aspects of life, including education, employment, and decision-making. Empowerment aims to address these disparities and create a level playing field where women have equal opportunities and rights.

Economic Development: Women’s empowerment is closely linked to economic development. When women are empowered and have access to education, employment, and financial resources, they can contribute significantly to the economy. Studies have shown that empowering women economically leads to increased productivity, poverty reduction, and overall economic growth.

Education and Health: Women’s empowerment is closely tied to improvements in education and health outcomes. When women are educated and informed, they can make better decisions regarding their own health and well-being, as well as that of their families. Educated women are more likely to seek healthcare services, take preventive measures, and provide better care for their children, leading to healthier communities.

Political Participation: Women’s empowerment includes their active participation in politics and decision-making processes. When women are represented in political positions, their voices and concerns are heard, leading to more inclusive policies and legislation. Women’s involvement in politics helps to shape a society that is more responsive to the needs and aspirations of all its citizens.

Social and Cultural Transformation: Empowering women contributes to social and cultural transformation by challenging and changing gender norms, stereotypes, and discriminatory practices. It promotes a more inclusive and equitable society where individuals are valued for their abilities and not limited by their gender.

Human Rights: Empowering women is a matter of human rights. Women have the right to live a life free from violence, discrimination, and oppression. Empowerment helps to ensure that these rights are upheld and protected.

It is important to note that women’s empowerment does not imply superiority over men. It is about creating a society where both men and women have equal rights, opportunities, and choices. By empowering women, we can build a more just, prosperous, and harmonious world for all.

Jhf, is calling on #unesco, #unicef #icf #womenaffairs, #philantropist and many other supporting bodies to join us in this mission as we know that every woman is a mother and they are individuals who also has the right to helping the children and family out financially no matter how small it is.
