Training & Empowerment

Empowering women and girls with relevant skills training and business support is critical to attaining gender equality as well as creating inclusive and flourishing societies.

However, Covid-19 has increased existing inequality gaps for women in the economic sphere. Reports show that 740 million women (60%) work in the informal global economy which puts them at greater risk of falling into poverty.

As an organization we are committed to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 5 – Gender Equality . Through grass root advocacy programmes, we dialogue with community leaders and stakeholders to influence policies that promote the rights of the girl child. In addition, we implement business material and financial support programmes to underprivileged women to increase entrepreneurship and job creation. This will in turn encourage the establishment of small and medium scale businesses as targeted by SDG 8- Decent Work and Economic Growth.

Gainfully employed women can have greater access to economic resources, properties and influence over decisions that affect their lives. When women thrive, so will families, communities, nations and the world at large.

Our Training and Empowerment Activities
